Layer: Swiftia pacifica Classified Mean Habitat Suitability Prediction (ID: 108)

Parent Layer: Swiftia pacifica

Name: Swiftia pacifica Classified Mean Habitat Suitability Prediction

Display Field:

Type: Raster Layer

Geometry Type: null

Description: This data layer depicts the classified mean habitat suitability for Swiftia pacifica from habitat suitability models predicting the spatial distribution of Swiftia pacifica offshore of the continental U.S. West Coast to 1200 m depth. The mean predicted habitat suitability from 100 models fit to bootstrap samples of the occurrence data was classified into a map with four habitat suitability classes ('very low', 'low', 'medium', 'high') using a series of breakpoints identified through receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. See the study technical report (Poti et al. 2020) for details.
